It's no problem - it's a feature to protect the output amplifier from clipping and distortion.

Max volume is reduced when you switch on an equalizer. Sliding up controllers will give you back 100% for frequency band(s).

Since EQ adjustment for high sample rate file would cause system tardiness, so we set limit to files that with higher sample rate than 48 kHz.

Can you  add to the list an automatic playlist that shows recently added music????? That way after adding music you can just go to the recently added playlist and not have to look through all your music for the new files.

I think everyone is barking up the wrong tree. Fiio doesn't seem too interested in fixing or adding features. It seems like all of the FW updates, from what I've seen, have been very very minor things. I don't know if it's because they messed up the code when writing the UI, or messed up by not including enough internal memory for the players to function properly, but I haven't seen them be too forward about improving the DAPs. If they cared, they would have added an option to display song titles instead of file names by now. It seems like they failed to include so many little features that shouldn't be *that* difficult to include for anyone that knows what they're doing. It makes me really hesitant to spend the money on a Fiio DAP not knowing which problems will be fixed, and when, and which won't.

Recently made the switch from iPod to Fiio X1 because my iPod was starting to play up and they stopped production of the Classic. Overall I'm pleased with the X1, Price being a major factor in that. There are a couple of gripes though; I was surprised at the battery life, I thought not having a big hard drive taking up space they would be able to have room for a big battery but the X1 doesn't seem to match my iPod for battery life. It's also a bit slow when loading the list of artists or songs, again I thought having a solid state SD card would perform better than a disk drive, but these are hardware issues. The main software/firmware issues for me are;

1) Scroll speed!!! I know it has been mentioned but this should be their main priority it's painfully slow to get to a particular artist you want to listen to. At the moment I just listen to my X1 on permanent shuffle because I just can't be bothered to spend all my time scrolling through the list. And this would be the major draw back I'd tell my friends if they were thinking of making the switch.

2) I think they should also change the way artists are listed in alphabetical order, The Clash should be filed under "C" for Clash, not "T" for The! The section for "T" must be huge! I know I could just re-tag all my music but it's an annoyance.

3) During normal playback if the song doesn't have any album art it displays the song title, artist and album, I like that. But when playing a song that does have album art this info is only displayed for a short time and doesn't re-appear. I don't have a good memory for names of songs etc. so if I hear a song and want to remind myself who it's by, I can't. Unless there is a way of getting the info back up I don't know about. It would also be nice if the text was a bit bigger to make it easier to read at a distance (I use it in a dash mount in the car).

In Play Modus the last line: File type/frequenzy/resolution
is very uninforming (for me, in my case always the same: File type/44.1kHz/16bit).
Much more informing (for me) whould be: File type/Bitrate[kbps]/Rate control mode[CBR,VBR],
p.E.: mp3/192kbps/VBR or: wma/128kbps/CBR.

I still miss a nice feature You used to have at MD drives:
A counter for the album times (total time and time left to the end).
I liked this for scheduling (at the end of the album I have to go to a meeting aso.).The best place whould be aside the time graph of the elapsed title play time.

Another thing that would be seemingly very simple to add, last.fm scrobbling support. The DAPs should write the file onto the SD card that last.fm reads and counts the play counts from. I hate to have to lose out on my last.fm stats after all these years...

Loving my new X5ii. Thank you for making such a product. I'd like to suggest a few changes - (if and when it is possible). My suggestions are primarily for what we see when we are listening to our music, rather than the menus/navigation.

1. Full album art. Scale it down so that nothing gets overlayed on it. (Example below)

2. Hide the numbers showing your the volume level. Example:

01-Volume-Mute

- Mute

02-Volume-1-40

- Volume 1 to 40

03-Volume-41-80

- Volume 41 to 80

04-Volume-81-100

- Volume 81 to 100

- Volume 101 to 120

- If GAIN is ON/HIGH

3. For EQ, instead of showing the status of the EQs using Text "EQ = OFF" just grey out an EQ icon.

- When EQ is used/ON

- When EQs are not used/OFF

4. Whats the point of showing the memory card? Its not like you can play music without it. Take it off completely.

5. An option to show additional tags. Like 'Composer' or 'Genre' or 'Copyright'. (See example blow).

6. If info exists in the tag, show the 'Year' next to album name (See example below)

7. ALWAYS show file specs. Type/Bitrate/Sample-rate.

Example 1: Volume is above 100. EQ is OFF.

Example 2: Volume is between 41 and 80. EQ is ON.

11-Main-03

Example 3: Same as above - volume is between 41 and 80, but GAIN = HIGH/ON. EQ is also ON.

This is just a rough example of what i'd like to see on my screen when I'm playing my music.

The area showing the 'Copyright' tag could even cycle between multiple tags - if enabled through a menu. Like show the 'Copyright' info for 5 seconds; then show the 'Composer' info for the next 5. (Animated Example below)

Thank You for your inputs. However please note we cannot accommodate every user's individual requests. The software too has its limitations. We shall however, keep this in the wish list.

Just make X5ii UI more customizable by .ini files. We want to change items position, font size, font color, etc.
Even this would be enough to customize the interface.
It's there in X3ii, why it is cut-out from X5ii ?

Also please consider to add more (infinite) theme slots. Now we can have only five (on X5ii), but My custom firmware with 5 light theme pack weights only 10Mb (over 64 Mb stock). It is approx 1Mb per theme! So I want add another 54 themes into the firmware
