Hello!
I have a question about larger microsd cards in fiio products, especially x5 II.
I know, such question has been asked before. But I would be very glad, if Fiio could clarify some topics (and since such cards aren't cheap I would like to know ahead).

I can understand, it is very specific request and there is small market of larger then 128Gb microsd cards.

Nevertheless as for consumer it will be very helpful feature, when I can bring whole music collection with 400Gb portable player (I travel a lot, so it is an issue)

My questions:
1. Is there chance of imlementing this feature in forseeable future? (up to 6 month)? Or are you just reaserching market for such opportunity
2. Is that change difficult to implement? Requires updating file system for example

Thank you!

Technically, you can use any larger capacity sd card, just need to format it in fat32, maybe exFAT, 64+ gb sd cards "don't allow" to be formatted in FAT32 on a PC but with some apps or even the FiiO you could make them readable for the DAP

No idea, I just have one slot in mine. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. As far as I can figure, if it supports it in one slot, it should support it in both. Thinking of having 400gb in a small DAP is almost making me drool.

I'm considering to buy it too for my X3 II as I have stutters with my Samsung EVO 128 GB card.
The SanDisk 200 GB card has about double the read speed of the Samsung one, so it should be fine.
Samsung 128 GB: 48 MB/s
SanDisk 128 GB: 80 MB/s
SanDisk 200 GB: 90 MB/s

I think they should work but if you will put a lot of file in the two cards you'll probably have some problems with very slow menus

The 256GB micro SD cards were announced sometime last summer. I have yet to spot one in a local brick and mortar store, but I have seen the odd one listed on sites such as Amazon. Quite expensive still, which possibly explains their rarity.
