My first impression of new patch:
+ Device is more laggy, slow app-opening.
+ FiiO music app: unresponsive , laggy-delayed when scrolling songs. It was smoothier in 1.1.6.

For me, the new firmware is an improvement. Clearly there are some flaws, but the new one is much better than the old one!

I upgraded and things seem fine so far.. but I still do not
see how to use Fiio Player to stream to Wi-Fi audio devices
such as Range Extender (Linksys RE6500) with audio port,
Chromecast, AudioCast and like Televisions or Apple TV/Roku
that are connected via network (for better range  than bluetooth).
So I still use Neutron for that purpose but even Neutron seemed
to play audio at a slower speed, maybe I accidentally set something
wrong there... there are so many options I got a headache trying to
find why the speed was slowed so I uninstalled it and will start over.
I may have to clear the whole device after the upgrade and start
over downloading at a minimum only the apps necessary.

Below is the reply from fiio to me. I am not sure if what he meant was install manually by putting the firmware in the sd slot.

Let me know if it works. I could not test it since i left mine at home.
I was going to the files it seems that you have to run it using your computer while fiio is connected via usb

The Spotify issue?  The downloaded files will disappear after reboot the X5III?
If so, it should be Spotify itself issue.  And actually, this issue also happens on some certain Android phones.

One user ever contacted Spotify technical team, and he was told that "Spotify technical team found out there was a "hiccup with the offline cache" which they are able to refresh on their end".
So please try to delete cache and app and reinstall it.
And it may be better to download the files on the internal storage,  because if using the external SD as storage, the device let Spotify believe that there are more than one device. Maybe that each login or each login via different wlan causes that. And as soon Spotify believes that there are more than 3 devices are using offline they delete all titles.

We have not updated the google service framework as far as i can tell. Basically the firmware update 1.1.7 allows user to uninstall the google service framework by tapping the device name under the setting as a result an error occur.

I have email fiio support and below is there reply. The factory reset DID NOT WORK. So for those who have similar issues please follow instructions below. The link to the installers are there as well as the instructions

Hi - Resume from previous position & last song appears to be broken for me with FW1.1.7.

Will restart from track / track position at last REBOOT, on each new power on.
Reset database - No effect.

Any suggestions?
If not how do I roll back to the previous, FW?

Same for me:

After update to FW 1.1.7 the Resume from last song does not work and always resumes from one fixed track.

And as written above, with FW 1.1.6 scrolling through the album list was smoothier as with FW 1.1.7.

So nobody has an issue with fiio music freezing and rebooting the app and the launcher? I basically cannot listen to music in this firmware (and the older versions too).

Did you reset the music app after the upgrade?
Are you using the sd card slot 2 after this happen?

I had firmware 1.1.6 before and did not encounter this issue.

I had to do a firmware upgrade twice first was via ota after that i did not encounter this issue.

The other upgrade was manual due to error that i encounter in the google service framework. Now this is where the issue appear. The music app keeps crashing.

So what i did is factory reset. I am currently observing it
