[backcolor=rgba(255, 255, 255, 0)]On Android based Systems you may use the installed apps to enable music upload via WIFI

1. start your device and connect it to your wifi connection
2. open ES File Explorer APP that is already available for your device by default
3. scroll down the screen of the file explorer until you find the tools section
4. tap the „Remote-Manager“ icon
5. open the adjustment icon on top of the screen (right from the text „Remote-Manager“)
6. open „change root“
7. move up one directory using the arrow to the left on top line and choose „/mnt“ as the new root directory
8. tap on OK to activate your new root directory choice
9. go back to the former screen (small trinangle on bottom left)
10. activate the remote management server using the bottom button
11. the ftp connection is shown in the middle of the screen

Use a ftp client (e.g. filezilla) to transfer files to and from your fiio

Have a lot of fun

Hi everybody,

There is something I want to mention after having read several posts about tranferring files via ftp protocol.
The ftp protocol exists for a long time already. Its great for easy transferring text information or small binary information in case the option for binary transfer is activated. It seems to be faster than most other protocols which are used to transfer information. A lot of people used this transfer protocol to transfer information successfully during the last thirty years.
But ... the security for file transfer is not the best you could get. There is no additional consistancy check as you will get by using sftp or scp (ssh based transfer)

My intention writing the previos post was to show that a simple file transfer (using ftp) can be used on Android based FiiO devices even without additional software.

Please don‘t take me wrong ... in case of a solid connection between client and server its not really insecure, but you should know that there are more relyable protocols available for file transfer.

In case you need to use a more relyable transfer protocol, please have a look at Android apps using ssh or similar secure transfer options.

Cheers, DJJ
