Same Problem here with my new M9 that i just received. I was using a Chord Mojo on my PC before without any lag. The M9 now introduces a very long lag. It's fine for listening to music, but makes watching youtube etc. impossible. Please fix this asap .

On the older, now unceremoniously abandoned X series models, this bug was never fixed.

The workaround was to set the source sample rate as high as possible so the lag would be less obvious, I found 192k was good to get back A/V sync.

Dear friend,

The DAC output delay is related to various factors.
The output selection is one of those. You could try to choose ASIO output for help instead.

Dear friend,

The DAC output delay is related to various factors.

ASIO Output is only an option for Audio Players where the delay is not that critical. It's more about being able to use the M9 as USB-DAC watching Videos where output lag is very critical.

I am having this issue too. Both on high and low bitrates, and both with the official FiiO driver and the built-in Windows driver, the audio is very late. Interestingly the problem temporarily goes away if I unplug and reinsert the USB and then immediately start playing stuff. The delay reappears if the audio stream stops (yellow FiiO light goes away) for more than a few seconds.

I confirm, very annoying issue. I've used BTR3 as usb dac and everything works great, but not in case with M9

Version 1.0.4 on the M9 and still no improvement concerning the lag. It's terrible to watch videos like this. If this doesn't improve soon I'll look out for other solutions.

Not to be rude but why use this as a DAC from your computer when watching YouTube videos? You’d be better off plugging headphones/speakers directly into your computer.Youtube audio is pretty compressed

Not to be rude but why use this as a DAC from your computer when watching YouTube videos? You’d be  ...

1. because it's also advertised as an USB DAC and one should be able to expect not to have such a long output lag.

2. I got the M9 for it's LDAC transmitting capabilities to feed my LDAC Bluetooth headphones to be wireless in the office. Also the sound of my laptop is 1. onboard sound (bad) and 2. only supports SBC Bluetooth that sounds pretty bad also. If I wanted cables I'd already have a Chord Mojo and Sennheiser 6xx at the office but I wanted something wireless for the office.

3. In general I'm using the M9 to listen to Tidal via the PC Client ( Unfortunately Tidal doesn't support something similar like Spotify connect). I just wanna be able to watch a youtube video in between without this lag.
