Since posting this issue I didn't had any issues after updating my bios.
But after updating my bios once again the problem came back up (after using for almost 1 year in USB 2.0 mode without a glitch!)

I think it's a power and clock related problem, possibly addressable by a firmware update.

Nevertheless, I don't use DSD, I just switched to USB 1.1 mode and it seems more stable.

If users report that using a powered USB HUB fixes this issue, then it's FiiO to blame here because of the poor USB implementation.

Still, workarounds do exist, such as using nircmd or usbdeview on W10 or disabling selective usb suspend in the power plan.

I have this same issue as everyone else and i couldnt fix it.
I sent an Email to the FiiO customer service and never gotten a reply.

I have tried swapping USB cabels and ports. But i still have to turn it on and of when booting the PC.

I have recently uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it. Before the knob was glowing Blue but after the reinstall it was glowing yellow (better source) but nothing should have changed.

I find it just very frustrating to turn the K3 off and on after booting.

My guess is, it can be fixed with a firmware update.

And I dont understand why FiiO didnt fix it after more than a year.
So many people have the exact same issue.

I hope we can get a proper fix and not just a reply: "We will inform the engineers about this issue"

The only thing was that the light is now orange instead of blue.

According to the feedback from our engineer, this issue is related to the opearation instead. But after restarting the K3, you could use it again.

So each time we start our PC we have to restart the K3.
But thats THE problem that we all have.

So again, my setup is:
Windows 10, FiiO K3 and in Ears connected on the 3.5mm.

Problem: Each time i boot my PC theres no sound, Windows recognizes the K3 tho.
So i have to turn the K3 off and on in order to get sound.
If you just restart the PC the K3 will work sometimes tho but never on a full shutdown and boot up.

Maybe it works with the other outputs like optical but i cant test that because i dont have such devices. So it would be nice if somebody could test that.

Also the driver is almost two years old and im not sure if this is still up to date.

So i hope you can fix this year old problem that some many people are frustrated with.

Also have this issue with my K3 and "it works on my machine" isn't a solution for your paying customers having this issue.

I think by now, it's clear this isn't an isolated issue and surely one of the many engineers that have supposedly taken a look at it should have been able to come up with a solution for it or at the very least reproduce it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great piece of hardware, but please stop avoiding valid issues your paying customers are having. This issue should be acknowledged and (hopefully) fixed.

Yeah I don't think they are taking this serious, sadly. Guess the next recommendation will be to buy the successor model?

Same issue here, I wrote an email to the support for now.

If this can't be fixed I guess I'll have to return it since my setup doesn't allow for a fast and or easy way to disconnect it. If the dial at least had numbers on it it would be easy to set it up each time in the same position but as it stands you just can't.

Makes you wonder if they even tested the product honestly

I think they just did not test it with Windows 10 tbh. Or at least not recent versions of it.

The most pathetic excuse i've ever heard. We are all complaining about WINDOWS 10! What the fuck is it so hard to test it. A lot of us have this issue! FUCKING FIX IT. It's not hard.

And no it's the the FUCKING cable, i've had 3 cables tested on a new fucking motherboard (x570 ULTRA) with ALL KINDS of USB ports which i expect to be very high quality as it cost 300$.

Stop making excuses and fix your shit. Needless to say I am not purchasing any Fiio products in the future as there have been 0 driver updates since it launched.

The problem happens in the Win10 operation system but not the Win7 so it may related to the opearation system. You could also restart or reconnect the K3 for get it work after restarting the computer.

The DAC driver is provided by the Thesycon company so we could not update the driver if the supplier hasnn't provide to us.
