Hi!!

I am a new user of FiiO products

I adquire a FiiO K3 AMP/DAC. I have a problem when i use it on my desktop PC, i am using FiiO k3 official drivers and 2.0 mode.

The Question:
When DAC are in rest (No Sounds Played, No Music) When short sound starts  i hear like a "Short Static Noise" or the final part of the sound. Its like that the AMP/DAC start working and eat the first part of the sound

Example of sounds that are cutted or replaced with that short static noise

- Whatsapp Messenger Web Messages (I listen only the end)
- Sound of windows when u move around the folders (Clicking it the "Click" that sounds i dont hear it,i hear that static noice only)
- Short sound like when u click on a option with responsive sound's

These only happends when DAC are un peace and appear new sounds. For example the whatsapp sound first dont reproduce it on my headphones but if other message enters in next 2 or 3 seconds works perfect. Then if stays 10 segs without sound and again enter a message that sound are replaced with that static noice again.

Anyone knows why happends these?

Regards!

Hi,

I think I encountered a similar problem, where if I didn't play any audio for about 10 seconds, the K3 seemed to go to sleep with a pop, and then the first quarter second of any audio played afterwards would get cut off while it wakes up. I managed to fix it by doing the following:

1) Download and install the K3 driver/control panel from https://fiio.com/k3_faq
2) Enable the hidden control panel settings by editing C:\Program Files\FiiO\FiiO_Driver\W10_x64\FiiOCplApp.xml (disable read-only and open your text editor as administrator) and change PageOptions's <Visibility> setting from "Hidden" to "Visible"
3) Restart the control panel, and then in Options->Streaming, change "On when Needed" to "Always On"

Doing this also stops the clicking/popping sounds mentioned here http://fiio.me/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=43993t
