X1 MkII pausing/stopping music problem

Hello,

I have a Fiio X1 mark II and it is really great and I have recommended it to many as I love it so much. But in the past two weeks a problem started occuring. It began to pause music after just briefly touching the headphone cable, making it difficult to listen to music at home when it sits on my desk and absolutely impossible to walk around with.
I have done my research and have already tried:
- turning it off and on again,
- restoring it to factory settings,
- reflashing the latest software update,
- inserting another SD card,
- switching headphones (I have tried four, the problem occurs in all)
- the problem persists also when listening to my Fiio through my stereo system with Fiio in line-out mode
- switching the in-line headphone control off

I have come to the conclusion, that the headphone jack is faulty and that it wrongly detects headphone disconnection.

I have no idea what else to do. Is there maybe some deep setting to disable pause on headphone disconnect? I think that might help my problem. Does anybody have any suggestions about what it could be or what to do?

I love my Fiio and wouldn't want to let it go for the world, so any help would be really appreciated.

Dear friend,

It seems to be a hardware issue with the headphone jack.

Please contact your seller about that first.

If the seller fails to help, please contact us again with the receipt attached.

I have contacted the seller and they just forwarded the mail to fiio support. I have also sent an email to fiio support myself. I haven't gotten a response for a week. Could you advise what to do?

Both, I have sent an email to support@fiio.net and the seller forwarded my email to support@fiio.com.
