Bricked BTR3

I tried upgrading the firmware of the BTR3. Now the firmware is corrupt and the device is stuck in DFU mode. It seems to be the same problem as here http://fiio.me/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=43768
But that thread is closed.

I tried reseting the device by holding the power button for >10s

What can I do now?

Same here.
Tried to upgrade the brand new BTR3 to the latest version as it was not clear if it has the latest firmware. Android version of the Fiio Music does not display version info, so did the update as described at the website.

Details of the old fw:
LOADER=rck_16unified_fl_bt4.2_28b_1609231747_ble_encr128 2016-09-23, STACK=rck_16unified_fl_bt4.2_28b_1609231747_ble_encr128 2016-09-23

Tried to use the  fw from here: click here

Update failed, now stuck in DFU mode and not possible to upgrade or restore it.
Tried to reset it by pressing the power button for 15s. Tried to reset it by pressing Vol+/Vol- for 15s.

Still the same. It is possible to reflash the firmware - even the saved one - always at the end show error: firmware of the device corrupted.

I really don't think the seller is going to know how to un-brick the device. Are you saying that there is no hope of recovery, and that I will need to return it?

Your description exactly matches my experience. I couldn't get mine to work with the app, so I couldn't see the firmware version. I have read of other people in the same situation. It seems as if this device is not really ready to be on the market. It's a pity.

Contacted with Amazon - where I bought it.

"There is no quick solution for the device stuck in DFU mode, you can return the unit to Amazon and order a new one."

There was no BTR3 menu in the Android app.

I got a screenshot from my friend who has a BTR3 menu in the Android app (under the FIIO link).
We have the same phone - so I have no clue what is the reason behind...

I had no BTR3 menu, had no chance to see the version, so tried to update.
Result: bricked BTR3.

I wonder if there is some kind of batch fault. It's a pity that Fiio don't seem concerned about this. The retailers and the consumers shouldn't have to be the one's suffering.

Amazon did a refund.
Price and shipping costs too.

I think I wait 2-3 weeks until they release a new firmware which solves the issues.
Then I order a new one.

If not, please contact your seller about that.

I've had the same problem. The seller won't help. My device reboots every 3 sec and won't enter in DFU mode again. I actually can only turn it off by holding power for 15 sec or stare how it boot looping itself. Any ideas on how to restore the boot looped device? Internet lacks this manual

Corrupt site??
In post number 2, the poster states that he downloaded the file from:-
http://fiio-file.fiio.net/BTR3_1.0.dfu

I'm pretty sure that I read on another thread that site is corrupted and it advised users to use FiiO.me  

It may be worth see if the download file is available from FiiO.me  and see if that solves the problem.  Good luck
