FiiO M9 gives problems

Hello,I recived 1 week ago the Fiio M9 and after 2 days I discovered that the "FiiO Music" app is crashing. So I tried many times to reboot the system and to restore the factory reset but everytime I load my music (tried also with different files), the player gives some problems with the playing.
I tried to change the micro sd card, I tried with an 8GB one, with a 64 one and with a 400GB by Sandisk and nothing changed, the app is crashing.

what can I do?
I bought it with amazon and I'd like to know if it is a typical problem so I may take care of some advices to make sure that it works or if I have to change the model and ask amazon a new one or even take an other DAP at all. Nicolas

Return it and get something else as support for the M9 is rubbish.

No. I have an M9 and the app does not crash.

As well as posting here I would send FIIO an email. Sometimes they can be a bit slow replying here. I think it might be just the one English speaking moderator . However, if you bought it recently from AMAZON, get in touch with them, tell them to send you a replacement and return that one.

By the way, support for the M9 is fine. There are a few issues, LDAC for example, that some people have but otherwise its a good player. Especially for the price. You will not get anywhere near the same hardware or feature set at the same price - or near it.

Yes I updated the firmware, I've already received it with the latest update.
I'm trying some other ways and found out that my FiiO software is working good with a low quantity of GBs (25 GBs). So it seems it begins to crash when I load more than 30/40 GB's of music. I tried also to check the quality of my micro SD cards but it seems that these are not the problem.
So thank you for your advice and I think I will do as you say and return it to Amazon and ask a new one.

Glad I could help. On my M9 at the moment, I have about 300 gig of music files, plus another 100 or so spread between Tidal and Qobuz (I got a free 3 month trial of Tidal) and have no issues, So it does, sadly sound like you have a faulty player. I would be curious for an update when you get your replacement. I hope all goes well.

Yes Fiio please respond im having the same issue 400gb sandisk sd card half full no storage of music on internal storage music app is slow and device can be slow at times crash and cut out clip the songs because the keeps crashing. it needs a firmware update or something its on the fiio side not the sd card...fiio please issue a firmware update asap and fix the fiio music app. thanks a lot. brand new device on the latest firmware by the way.

Dude, return it. Trust me, issues will only increase over time. The hardware is the best but its no good with buggy software.

Fiio customer service is a joke. I’ve emailed them three times over the last 2 months about a broken headphone jack on my M6. No reply. Won’t even bother to return it it’s such a hassle. Fiio CS sucks as does their buggy software

Fiio yes i have but it did not fully address my issue i  need a new firmware update to be released to rectify this issue mentioned by me and the other person experiencing like issues above. And a new fiio music app update to address the issues asap. I just purchased this and i don't want to have to exchange it. Please. It's not just with this card. I have a fully working new card tested on 2 in fact.
