I guess weigh the costs of shipping an item to China with insurances and risks of getting
lost...time... Is it going to Hong Kong part of China or through there? There are some issues
going on in that region.
Can one buy parts to be replaced or swapped out easily in USA or wherever you are?
with a computer, if the wi-fi adapter burns out, one can just buy another and install
or if the hard drive fails, buy another to install. Does the same work for Fiio device
or is it just disposable like a cellphone save an expensive repair?
So how much to ship and send all the way to China and how much to repair (labor costs)...then
assess if it is just wiser to get a newer updated, faster device that may come out in
the future or the current new models (M11 or that other one Q5s )?
How much to just buy a new similar one that is used in good condition?
Some smart(er)phones may have a DAP or DAC in them or some Quad sound if using
headphones like LG high-end phones (G6 international, V30, ...) as I have found the
smartphones have better wi-fi, bluetooth ranges, reception, transmission to wireless headphones
-- I was able to walk from one end of the buffet to the other end of the buffet and still was
able to listen to music streamed from the LG G6 or a Samsung Galaxy type. The Fiio device
seemed to cut out or drop the connection if I did similarly in the buffet.
Good luck with it all.
