Amazon Unlimited HD and M11

Have anyone tried to download the lastest Amazon Music app from APKPure?
You need the latest Amazon Music App to play their HD content.
Problem:
1. Inital installation is fine.
2. After reboot, if you want to launch the app, music won't play at all, the circle will just "spins", either online of offline content.
Very strange...

Anyone know a workaround for the problem?

Hi, I have an X5 MkIII and have exactly the same problem with the Amazon Music app. The music will play if I stream to a Chromecast or use bluetooth but nothing plays when headphones or line out are connected.

Hi. I have the same issue while using my M11 and the new Amazon HD music app. No files play with either wired or Bluetooth headphones, but they do if I stream to a Sonos speaker (although not above HD quality)

I have the same issue. Just received the M11 last week. Downloaded the Amazon Music app, and worked fine. There were some M11 updates, and once rebooted, the Amazon app stopped working. Just spinning, no music. I have deleted and reinstalled the app 2x with no success.

Amazon music works fine on all of my other devices. Tidal streams great on the M11. I have been using the Sennheiser Momentum 3.0 BT headphones, and have not had any problems listening on other devices.

This tells me there is some kind of issue between the Amazon Music app and the M11 if Amazon is working fine on all my other devices.

We checked again and found that it may becuase of the failure for connecting to the server of Amazon Music. You could try to contact the Amazon support and we will keep following this issue.

I don't think it is relayed to the "server" of Amazon.
The Amazon Music app also plays local files, and I can't play local files neither.

The symptom is:
1. App works perfectly fine after initial install.
2. After reboot, when playing offline, online, locally stored music, it won't play at all.

It has nothing to do with "Amazon Server" as it can't play locally stored music (on SD card)
I suspect the new version of Amazon Music HD does not play well with the current Android version 7.0.0
Also, Amazon Music recognizes M11 can only play up to 24/96 (when the app is working)
Forget about Amazon Music HD for now if you want to use it on M11.

I also suspected Amazon Music HD might be trying to scan all my local music on the SD Card, so I ejected it and still won't resolve the issue.
That also points to the issue is the App itself not playing nice with M11
Anyway, I am giving up for now, back to Qobuz.

After a long time of analysis, currently,we think that this problem is caused by Amazon Music itself, but we will still follow that problem.
1. In Amazon music v16.2.4 version, a sampling rate less than 88.2k cannot be played , while v16.1.10 version can.
2. When playing sampling rate 48K in amazon music v16.2.4, the parameters are not set correctly, which lead to the crash of libOpenSLES library
W libOpenSLES: Leaving BufferQueue::Enqueue (SL_RESULT_PARAMETER_INVALID)
AmznMusic_DMPPlayer: [audiodriverimp.cpp :289] Failed to enqueue next frame, enqueue result code = 2
The final result is that the application has no data for the underlying playback. So the underlying mixer programme enters standby mode.

3. When the third-party app starts playback first (the sampling rate is higher than or equal to 88.2k), the underlying will use the previous parameter to set track if you turn on the Amazon Music app after that. And the Amazon Music app could work fine now.

Therefore, this issue with sampling rate less than 88.2k is required to fix by Amazon Music. And we have reported to them as well.
Please also contact Amazon Music if you have the same problem in order to get their attention for fixing this problem in sooner time.

I can confirm that on M9 Amazon Music starts playing after start playing 96khz flac in Neutron. This does not work with fiio player.
Amazon Music finds the Fiio M9 DAC as 24/96khz, but as far as i see Amazon Ultra HD is 24bit/48khz only

Thank you so much for this detailed diagnostic.
Also thanks for the workaround.
I will do this for now as a temporary solution:
1. Play a 24/192 Track (DSD track won't work) with FiiO music app
2. Launch Amazon Music HD

I hope they will fix the issue.

Also, you can test the app with the M11.
1. Use FiiO's Player App to play a 192/24 file.
2. Starts playing Amazon Music HD 96/24 track
3. Connect the FiiO M11 to a external DAC using SPDIF
My External DAC shows FiiO is outputing 192/24 instead of 96/24
If I turn on up convert DSD function on M11, it will output as DSD64. But DSD Function off, output is suck at 192/24 no matter what bitrate the file is playing on Amazon Music HD

It's not a Amazon problem, it's a Fiio problem, because Amazon HD works on the M6, but it keeps crashing with the M6 rebooting,what Fiio lacks is customer service, must be a cultural thing or something,but they need to get their shit together.

Bro this a Fiio problem,it has nothing to do with Amazon,these MF, from Fiio must think the world is Chinese or something,look it Fiio save the BS and find a solution,ie fix the fucking firmware

That's what it is, it's a Fiio problem, I own all fiio products,it works on the M6 but the M6 lacks the memory or something because it keeps crashing and rebooting the M6, just keep spinning on the M11,Fiio lacks customer service, always that Chinese BS,look it Fiio the world ain't Chinese and y'all need to stop the BS and address the problem,now watch I get a BS response from Fiio, blaming everyone except Fiio.

Now since Amazon music worked on the old firmware, I'll bet a million dollar that if you were to revert back, Amazon HD would work,so who is the stupid Fiio moderater who keeps spewing this BS that's it's an Amazon problem,when clearly it's a Fiio problem, please Fiio stop with the BS and get your customer service in order if you expect to sell schitt to a global market.

@FiiO    Just to add to your troubles, Amazon HD does not work on my X7ii.  I just get a scrolling wheel when I try and play anything.  It works perfectly on my iPhone.  It really is time you got a competent software engineer.  Every time he does an update he screws something up.
