Hello!
I bought e10k some time ago and I've been using it with my Sony 1000XM2. I remember it was always set on low gain in volume about 5-6
Recently I connected a low impedance bluetooth speaker to it and used it for some time.
Now the problem is that e10k got really loud. When I set it to low gain and 1 volume my 150ohm Sennheiser 660S (and Sonys) already get very loud. Sound quality didnt change. Gain switch, bass switch work as expected.
Couldnt find similar issues with any other dac/amps in the Internet
What happened to it? Should I be worried and can it be used like it is?

Dear friend,

You are using the headphone port or the lineout port of the E10K?

Dear friend,

Try to lower the output volume in your computer as well?

I don't think this is the real solution.
I've always been using it with player and windows volume set at 100
I also tested e10k with my second windows pc and android phone and results are the same - it is already loud at low gain 1/8 volume

It is possible that something burned in the circuit?
Is it common for amplifiers that if you connect load which impedance is lower than specified then something could happen to the amp?
Is it possible that if I increase the volume too much it will burn the unit/USB port on pc?

The volume can be adjust by the computer+software+E10K. So if the other's volume setting is higher, the E10K should be lower.
And if the headphone you use have lower impedance, the volume settings could be even lower.
