Alphabetical order

My Fiio M11 lists albums in very faulty alphabetical order. For example:
Mozart concerto 20
Mozart concerto 21
Mozart symphonie 36
Mozart concerto 24
Mozart symphony 38
Mozart Don Giovanni
Mahler symphony 7
Mozart concerto 17
etc.

Is it normal? On my Macintosh computer, I use Android File Transfer. The alphabetical order is perfect.

Secondly, it does not receive wifi. When I am at home, it says that it has recorded my password, but immediately disconnects.

What is so wrong with your machine?

Of course, it is the correct password. I checked ans double-checked. The M11 accepts the password, connects with wifi, and then immediately disconnects. I have seen other people who protested on other sites about that problem with M11.

Any idea why the albums are listed in an alphabetical which is not correct? That's basic. All computers and smart phones lists files in correct alphabetical order. Why not M11?

For the Wifi problem, please try to update this firmware for check first: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/ ... age-2#post-15524674
As for the sorting issue, we will report to the engineer again.

With respect, I don't understand "update this firmware for check first". THIS ? What firmware ? You want me to CHECK something FIRST before 5?) updating "THIS" firmware?  Or you want me to update THAT firmware before I check (with THIS firmware ?)

In any case, how do I update the firmware ? Wifi doesn't work on the M11 I bought. I disconnects immediately.

Practically speaking, how do you update firmware on a M11?

The link you provide doesn't take me to some firmware I could update.

May I add? The M11 is very expensive. Shouldn't it work better? Shouldn't the user manual should be easy to follow with technical explained clearly for non specialists. It should also be written in good English. It is written in very bad English and passages it is impossible to understand the meaning. Why doesn't the Fiio company pay real speakers of English to write their manuals?

In addition, in Europe the law says that it should be in the language of the country : French, etc. It's part of the price and it is expensive.

Okay it’s not the best piece of written English , but it’s not difficult to follow the meaning. Why be so aggressive with the comment. You can still update without WiFi use your pc or Mac find the firmware get the file, transfer it from your mc or pc to your m11 via usb into memory and update from that location on your m11Follow the link they gave you, go to first page first entry of that thread there are some links to follow to firmware.

Thank you Oladapman for taking the time of answering. I still don't understand. OK, I went to the first page of that link, found a link to download something called "M11-ota-20200314". I downloaded it onto my M11. And then? The instructions are as follows on that first page : "How to update the firmware: Download the firmware file then copy the firmware package file to the micro SD card; Open "Technical Support" app on the player, enter the "Firmware Update" menu, and select the firmware package file to upgrade". Inside "Applications", I finally found something called "Technical support version 7.0". There are six entries (notifications, authorizations, etc.) There is nowhere "Firmware update". I spent a vey long time looking elsewhere on the M11. Nothing.

Okay so let’s see if we can sort this out....

So looks like you’ve Found the right file.that is the firmware.
Downloaded to your m11 and saved on either your sd card or the internal memory.
At this point you need to find the fiio Technical support app on your m11 its a light purple colour with a white section in the middle with a ? Mark in the middle. It was on my Fiio m11 app screen from new so I assume it’s there on yours somewhere.
Open the technical support app.
At the top of the app there are 2 options
Online upgrade or local upgrade
Tap on local upgrade
It opens a file explorers where you can select the internal memory or the sd card yo saved the file to.
Find the file tap on it to highlight and you should get a message saying upgrade will start in  a few seconds.

Sit back leave the m11 alone and it will update.  Best to have it charged up and attached to a charging lead.

I spent a long time looking for what you call the Technical support app. I finally tracked it inside "Applications". (Yes you have the right colors for the "Technical support" app.) Now, I'm afraid we have to go back to my previous mail. Inside the "Technical support" app., I can only find six choices : data consumption, authorization, notifications, open by default, internal data, modify parameters. If you look inside, there is nothing remote linked upgrading. (Sorry if my translations into English are not very good. I am not a professional translator nor a computer specialist).

My FiiO M11 is almost new. I bought it new two months ago from Amazon. I haven't changed anything to it, it goes without saying.

I have paid a lot of money for a machine on which wifi doesn't work and files are listed in a very faulty alphabetical order.

Question: what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Okay that’s odd totally different to what I see on my m11. I love my m11 works really well WiFi everything. I’d be tempted to send it back to amazon. Or keep chasing fiio for help, might not be quick but usually helpful.

I have owned both the M7 and now the M11 both have been and continue to be excellent players, so I guess I could be biased towards fiio.  Whichever way you go I hope you get it sorted out.
